Hello Again!
I hope you have all got over the excesses of Christmas and enjoyed
your glass of Fortified Shiraz after your Christmas dinner.
Have you noticed how the days are beginning to draw out at last. It
doesn’t take long after Christmas to begin to see more daylight.
This set me thinking about the next big event in the calendar, which
of course is Valentine’s day. So I decided to give you something
pink to try this month. I love Valentine’s day. I was married
the week before it, so it is a time of remembering a wonderful occasion
and enjoying romantic meals together to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
There are a lot of different rose wines are available these days. I
am not a great fan of rose wine’s, but this one is so fruity,
it reminds me of eating a bowl of raspberries and strawberries on a
warm summer day. So let it transport you forward to those warm summer
evenings I hope we are going to have this summer. The wine I have chosen
is one I tried about five years ago at Kilburn Wine Circle, a Fetzer
Valley Oaks Syrah Rose. For those of you who want to spoil your partner
on Valentines night, a bottle of this with some red roses, I am sure
will put a smile on their face.

It is ready for drinking now. I like to drink it by itself or with
Seafood Risotto, a light lunch or salads. Something I seem to be eating
a lot of at the moment to try and lose some of the pounds gained over
Christmas.
