The recipient of this issue’s bouquet Sarah Wright of Kilburn (on right of picture). She was nominated by her neighbour Caz Mattocks (on left). Here’s Caz’s nomination:
I would like to nominate my neighbour Sarah for flowers because she is so warm-hearted and kind.
Our neighbour Derek, sadly, passed away recently. His wife died in 2001, they didn’t have children and his family live in Yorkshire.
Sarah made the last few years of his life as happy as she could. She went one big step further than being a good neighbour and made Derek part of her family involving him and welcoming him into her home. This is exceptional alone but when you also consider Sarah works at the local school, has two sons and during this time the eldest son suffered Hodgkin’s disease and under went chemotherapy you begin to get an idea of what an incredible woman she is.
If you met Sarah, even just for a few minutes, I am sure you would want to give her the flowers ten times over.
Thanking you
Caz Mattocks
