Issue 9 - Bouquet goes to Val & Ken Erwin
val and ken erwin

Show your appreciation for a friend, fellow member of the community or family member and surprise them with a fresh bouquet of flowers courtesy of All Things Local and The Flower Shop.

The recipients of this issue’s bouquet are Val & Ken Erwin of Kilburn. They were nominated by Barbara Archer also from Kilburn. Here’s what Barbara had to say:

“I would like to nominate Val and Ken Erwin to receive a bouquet of flowers. Ken had a stroke in 2005 and has made every effort to lead as normal a life as possible whilst living with his disability of having no feeling down his left side and minimal sight.

Val now has to do all the driving along with helping Ken in everyday tasks but they manage to keep cheerful and get on with their lives.

They both deserve a treat and the flowers would fit the bill perfectly.”

Nominating is easy. All you have to do is state in no more than 100 words who you are nominating, which area they live in and the reason’s why you are nominating them.

The only rule is that the person receiving the flowers must live or work within the distribution area of All Things Local (listed on the cover). Just write your nomination on a piece of paper and post to Friendship Blooms, All Things Local, 74 Woodhouse Road, Kilburn, Belper, Derbyshire DE56 0NA or email your nomination to karyn@allthingslocal.co.uk putting Friendship Blooms as the subject. Please include your full name, address and telephone number on your nomination.

Closing date for nominations for the next issue: Friday 31st October 2008

What you've been saying about All Things Local...

“ I thought I would just take a moment to let you know what kind of response I have received from advertising in All Things Local magazine. I can certainly say that the response has been even better than I expected and certainly has more than paid for the ads already and, as many of the clients have become regulars, I expect that to continue. It's also interesting to see how pleased existing clients are to see the ads.“

Peter Waugh (Amber Feet)
